Authorities alleged Pilar used BitTorrent, a file-sharing application, to send and receive the images, though it was not clear who he was communicating with.He was placed on administrative leave following his arrest in 2020 and is no longer employed by the district, prosecutors said in a news release.The photos did not include students from the school or district, said Thom Mrozek, a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office.Pilar was originally arrested on state charges, which were later dropped so a federal case could be pursued with tougher penalties, said Ciaran McEvoy, a spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney’s Office.He was arrested in August while in Las Vegas.
